Working with John

To ensure that audiences have the best possible presentation experience, the following guidelines may be helpful to your planning. Please let us know if you have any questions – we would be happy to assist you.

Arrival and Venues

John Draper will arrange to arrive one hour prior to the presentation. Presentation locations, including entrances, washrooms and presentation venue, must be accessible for an individual utilizing a motorized wheelchair.

Presentation Length

The Together We Rock! presentations are typically 45-55 minutes in length. It is suggested that a one-hour time frame be scheduled to accommodate any questions.

Presentation Equipment

John will bring both a laptop computer and an LTD projector.  It would be helpful to have a back-up LTD projector available, if possible. John will require a small table to position the LTD projector close to his wheelchair, a heavy-duty extension cord, and a 2-3-square-metre screen or white wall, on which to project the presentation.

John requires a sound system to plug directly into his computer system or a wireless microphone that can be attached to his wheelchair. The sound system must be set up and available for testing 30 minutes before the start of the presentation. It would be helpful if a separate microphone could be provided for the person introducing John.

Photographs and Video-/Audio-taping

Photographs are permitted if they do not create a distraction for the audience or speaker. Video- or audio-taping a Together We Rock! presentation is not permitted.

Trademark and Copyright

Together We Rock! is a registered trademark, and all presentations and resource materials are protected by copyright law.

Bookings and Fees

Bookings are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Organizations will receive a letter of confirmation outlining agreed-upon arrangements and fees/expenses. An invoice specifying any fees and expenses (e.g., travel, accommodation, attendant care) will be invoiced within two weeks of the presentation.

Travel Arrangements

John typically makes his own travel arrangements due to his specialized requirements. Organizations preferring to schedule travel arrangements through their corporate account should contact John to discuss travel requirements before finalizing plans.
