by Holly & Ryan Peete (Ages 6-10)
Charlie has many talents: he’s great at playing the piano, and he knows a lot about airplanes. He is similar to his sister Callie, the narrator, in some ways, but different in others. Charlie has autism, and sometimes he has challenges, but he loves life and his family and they love him too. The authors are a mother and daughter who wrote the story about their son/brother who has autism. My Brother Charlie focuses on the many things that Charlie can do. The book emphasizes the uniqueness of every child, and how to embrace the individuality of others.
