John’s Accessible Summer Adventures: Art Gallery of Ontario

The Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) located in Toronto, Ontario is one of the favourite spots to visit by the Together We Rock! team.  The AGO is one of the largest art museums in North America with an estimated 95,000 works including the renowned collection by the Group of Seven.

One of the key values of the AGO is that the experience of visitors is paramount. The AGO is wheelchair accessible and works to decrease the amount of scents in the building. Support persons accompanying a visitor with a disability are provided with free admission. Large print visitor maps are available at the information desk. The website clearly describes the accessibility features and services designed to ensure that visitors of all abilities experience an inclusive and welcoming environment – the AGO Rocks!
